Benefits of training your dog

By Saro Boghozian, Expert Family Dog Trainer

Many times I have been asked to help dog owners who have a dog with one or few behavioural issues. The solution that I have to always suggest is to start training the dog properly and consistently.

The benefits of training your dog is beyond the ability to get your dog to sit and stay. Training not only creates and builds up the relationship but it also helps to remove most of the behavioural issues and replace them with proper behaviours.

The reason this happens is because the dog starts to relax due to understanding what and how it is supposed to do things. There it is the keyword that is very important to remember. “Not knowing what to do and how to do”. Dogs do not want to disappoint the owners and they do not plan to come up with ways to cause embarrassment or ruin your life. They simply do not know how to do things because the owners think dogs know it all and will learn things automatically.

The fact are that dogs do not know how to behave automatically and there is less chance or even no chance at all for a trained dog to end up in a shelter or cause you headache.

Training makes a dog to be clear on what is supposed to do, how it supposed to do and if it is supposed to do things. It relaxes the dog which results in a good behaving dog which translates to a happy dog owner.

My goal has always been to educate dog owners to be an educated dog lover rather just a dog owner or a dog lover.

Let me help you get there by showing you how. Contact me at 604-990-1642 to start training with your dog today.
