Name: Brian McCormick - MootchJust a quick line to let you know that Mootch is doing well and misses you and her old buddies down in the hood. To those who don't know Mootch; she is now about six years old coming to us via the Penticton SPCA. She is mostly Rotty but has an unusual tail shaped like a question mark perhaps indicative of her inquisitive nature. Apparently her origin was in Ontario and by age 1.5 yrs we became I think her third family. Seemingly given up by two families because she was not house broken she quickly learnt to correct this and has become a well-adapted family member. But it has been a long haul to get here. Along the way we have been helped by many good people. Initially it was with Julia at the day care and obedience classes. When Saro and Yoko took over the daycare and it became Jonah's Ark, Mootch formed a close attachment in particular to Saro. Saro is North Vancouver's dog whisperer and he spent much time and care in successfully integrating Mootch into becoming a natural part of the day's pack giving her confidence and curbing her less attractive tendencies. We first attended daycare twice weekly and on Saro's advice cut that to once a week when he felt Mootch had progressed sufficiently. She had even got to the point where she could help new dogs fit in on the hike. And that's what you get at Jonah's Ark, it is way more than a daycare, where else can you leave your dog where it will get to play, hike, rest and you get the benefit of knowledgeable sound advise and action from two people who really love your dogs. Due to circumstances (moving to the Okanagan) - Mootch can no longer attend. But perhaps that's ok; she takes with her the lessons that Saro taught her so well.
So our thanks to Saro and Yoko, our best wishes for continued success and our most sincere recommendation to those of you out there looking for a home away from home for your pet during the busy day.
Best regards,

Ark Doggie Playcare is absolutely wonderful! It brings us absolute peace of mind knowing our dog spends the day in the care of Saro and Yoko, who care for him (Oscar) as if he were their own. I recommend it to anyone who wants to pick up a happy, well-stimulated dog at the end of the workday.
Name:Sue Ross - Kabluk
Jonah’s Ark Doggie Playcare is a great place to take your dog. When Kabluk goes off to daycare in the morning, I know he is going to have a good wonderful time playing with his friends and he is well looked after and loved by Yoko and Saro. It is a wonderful Place for him to be.

I’ve been bringing my dog Charlie, to Jonah’s Ark Doggie Playcare for the past 6 to 8 months, five days a week.
What I really like about this daycare is that they really care about my dog like he is their own dog, which is a quality hard to find in other places.
I will not mince words. My dog Emma was a wild puppy, willful and unfitted. She needed to be socialized and to learn some manners. Emma defiantly got by on being cute. Enter Saro and Jonah’s Ark Doggie Playcare !
With consistent and persistent and lessons, from both the staff and me at the daycare, Emma has matured into a nice dog.
She has achieved a place on the Superfly agility demo team and she and I are a registered therapy dog team with St. John Ambulance.
Hi my name is Tocai and I am a 18 month German shepherd. I would like to sincerely thank Yoko and Saro for all the wonderful work that they have done with me. When I first arrived at Jonah's Ark I was an extremely nervous and insecure dog. I did not want to be out of sight of my family and would become aggressive as a result of being so distressed. I was also lacking the skills necessary to communicate with my furry friends and because of this I came off as being strange when I tried to interact with other dogs. Yoko and Saro were devoted to helping me and have spent many hours working with me at daycare. They both have been so patient with me especially when I have had setbacks that may have caused other people to become discouraged. It is so obvious to my family and me that Yoko and Saro are in the right business because of their extensive knowledge and great love for all the dogs. I would recommend Jonah's Ark Doggie Playcare to anyone with furry members in the family because you can always feel good about leaving these family members in Yoko and Saro's care. Thanks again Yoko and Saro. See you. Name: Dorothy -Danny

een taking Danny to the office a couple of days a week but the new office space we moved into said I could not bring him. Danny is a border collie cross who is busy, is very social and needs exercise. I visited a number of the doggy daycares to see which one fit for my dog. I wanted a doggie daycare that did not take a huge number of dogs and one that took them on off leash hikes everyday. I also looked at one where the dogs looked happy and were not on cement floors all day. Jonah's Ark Doggie Playcare has rubberized mats, toys and staff that really care about the dogs. All of the staff who have worked there have all been skilled at dealing with the group of dogs in a positive manner. Danny was a rescue dog and was very insecure, when I first took him to daycare he was very nervous and did not want to stay, he was afraid he was being deserted again. However now- Danny leaps out of the car at the Jonah's Ark Doggie Playcare and barks in excitement to get in. Danny has become much more secure and confident dog. I have no hesitations in recommending this Doggie Playcare to anyone who wants a safe, fun, secure and welcoming place for their dog to go.
uddenly which left our 2 and half year old Aussie at a complete loss as to what to do with himself. Linden was at home all day with her since we brought him home at 3 months old. After the incident we decided that Linden needed to have some kind of care during the day as leaving him at home with just the three cats was not working. He was very unhappy, moping around or terrorizing the house and the cats. Since Linden was an agility member at Superfly we decided that perhaps he could benefit from the daycare as well - familiar surroundings and all. It was a little traumatic at first dropping him off - now after seven full months we have a happy puppy again. Linden is now a happier and much healthier puppy since attending the daycare. He was overweight and suffering from a chronic shoulder injury. Since joining the daycare in January, in combination with a special diet, Linden has lost over 25lbs and is now a healthy, happy puppy once again. He looks forward to the going to the daycare now; he loves playing with the other dogs, with the balls, the hikes and especially the swimming. He loves Saro, Yoko and Julia and knows that they really care about him. Linden has experienced some issues with people in the past and was not an overly trusting dog. They have consistently worked with him and gained his trust. They have taught him to share and to be a more obedient dog as well. It is a relief to know that when we are off at work our puppy is in good hands and well taken care off. Thanks for all that you have done for us. The Sinclairs - David, Christina, Sandra and especially Linden
