But what are your dog’s needs?
You may say, food, water, and bed. These are essentials. They can’t survive without these.
But there are other things that dogs need to live a balanced life.
Collars, harnesses, coats, boots and accessories are not essentials. Dogs don’t really need these to survive either.
What dogs really need are five common things that no mater what size, bread, or colour your dog may be, they need them to survive and live a balanced and a healthy life.
The five things are:
- Exercise
- Training and discipline
- Socialization
- Care
- Affection
Do you think you are or have been providing these five things as well as the essentials?
Dogs need these five things in this order on daily basis. Many people start the day with their dogs backwards or in a miss match order.
Dogs need exercise before anything else when they wake up in the morning. This can be a good walk, run, hike or play with other dogs.
When their energy is drained out then they can focus on you to start on training and disciplining them to prevent bad behaviour.
When they are done with training then they are ready to socialize with other dogs, people, objects and so on.
And then you need to care for them by feeding them, providing clean water and place to rest. This is a good time to check them physically and look for any injuries, bumps, or simply groom them by cleaning their ears and eyes, brush their furs and so on. This is the perfect time to share and provide affection to your dog, which is the last thing that they need.
